Some time ago the London Sinfonietta invited me to interview Steve Reich. A video was made of the interview and it is now available here at the Sinfonietta’s website and here on YouTube.
Steve and I talked about his early career, his studies with Berio, the work of Karlheinz Stockhausen, the New York Downtown scene in the 1960s, his discovery of the phasing technique, the early days of his ensemble touring Europe and many, many other topics.

nice video – shame the London Sonfonietta doesn’t produce the first ever commercial video of 18 Musicians – would be really interesting for people who simply can’t get to the concerts (there must be alot of them worldwide)
